  • Shawn joined Tallinn Capital Partners Corp. (“Tallinn”) in 2012 and currently serves as the President of Tallinn Capital Mortgage Fund (the “Fund”) and Managing Director of Tallinn. In 2022, he became a Partner of Tallinn, further solidifying his commitment to the company's growth and success.

    With over 25 years of operational, financial analysis and corporate development experience, including five years with The Jim Pattison Group corporate office and ten years in the forest industry with Tolko Industries and its predecessors, Shawn brings a diverse skill set to his roles.

    Shawn has various responsibilities, including marketing the Fund in Western Canada, sourcing and underwriting potential loans, negotiating loan terms, managing loan portfolio activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Shawn is also the Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”) in Tallinn’s role as an Exempt Market Dealer.

    Shawn's credentials include an MBA and a BSc in Forestry from the University of British Columbia. He is currently registered as a sub-mortgage broker under the Mortgage Brokers Act of British Columbia and as a mortgage broker under the Real Estate Act of Alberta.

    Outside of Tallinn, Shawn volunteers his time to several local youth sporting clubs and has been previously involved with the British Columbia Provincial Emergency Program and Big Brothers & Sisters of Canada.

  • Henry is a founding Partner of Tallinn Capital Partners Corp. (“Tallinn”) with over 40 years of experience in real estate, commercial, corporate and oil & gas lending across Western Canada. Since joining Ron at Tallinn’s first predecessor company in 2002, Henry has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of the funds managed by Tallinn and its predecessors. Currently, he serves as a Board member of Tallinn, while also providing his expertise in credit assessment as a member of the Investment Committee of Tallinn Capital Mortgage Fund.

    Henry earned a Business Administration (Major Accounting) Diploma from RRC and has a distinguished career that includes holding senior positions at National Bank in Calgary from 1987 to 2002. These included Regional Manager for Western Canada in Commercial Banking, Senior Manager in the Energy Lending Group, Senior Manager for Special Loans in Western Canada, and Senior Manager for Credit in Western Canada. In 2002, Henry joined Ron at Tallinn’s predecessor and they both left it in 2010 to co-found the existing business of Tallinn.

    In addition to his professional endeavors, Henry actively contributes to the community through his volunteer work. He currently serves on multiple church boards and has previously held positions on the boards of various private companies and other church affiliates.

  • Ron has over 40 years of expertise in real estate lending, corporate and commercial banking, merchant banking, and corporate acquisitions. As a co-founder, Director, and President of Tallinn Capital Partners Corp. ("Tallinn"), he brings a broad range of experience to the company. Ron established the firm's first predecessor company in 1999 and has provided continuous guidance to Tallinn and its predecessor firms and funds since that time.

    In his current capacity, Ron serves on the Investment Committee of Tallinn Capital Mortgage Fund (the “Fund”) and also manages the Fund’s investor relations. Ron is also the Ultimate Designated Person (“UDP”) and a Dealing Representative in Tallinn’s role as an Exempt Market Dealer.

    Ron holds a B.Comm. degree from the University of British Columbia and is a retired CPA. He is also currently registered as a sub-mortgage broker under the Mortgage Brokers Act of British Columbia.

    Over his career, Ron has actively contributed to the broader business community. Ron currently serves as a Board member of Mainstreet Equity Corp. (TSX: MEQ) and has previously held director positions in several public and private companies. He was a board member of four different non-profit organizations over more than 40 years and is currently on the Advisory board of The Nature Trust of BC after serving as Chair.

  • Scott is a valued team member of Tallinn Capital Partners Corp. (“Tallinn”), joining the Vancouver office in 2022. His contributions span across multiple aspects of the company's operations. With a focus on financial modeling, underwriting, and analyzing market intelligence and due diligence materials for Tallinn Capital Mortgage Fund, Scott plays a vital role in evaluating credit risk and preparing comprehensive credit summaries. Additionally, he actively engages with stakeholders, supports loan management and reporting, and assists Tallinn in upholding compliance with regulatory bodies.

    Scott's educational achievements include a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and the completion of the Canadian Securities Course. He has also earned the prestigious CFA Charterholder designation, showcasing his proficiency in financial analysis and investment management. Prior to joining Tallinn, Scott gained valuable experience as a Senior Underwriting Analyst for AIG, where he assessed and evaluated complex risks in the realm of D&O insurance coverage for pubic and private companies. He also served as an Analyst, Private Capital Portfolio Operations at one of Canada's largest privately owned asset management firms.

    With his background in underwriting, analysis, and risk evaluation, Scott brings a valuable perspective to Tallinn's loan portfolio management.

  • Morgan has been a Partner and Director of Tallinn Capital Partners Corp. since 2023.

    Morgan began his financial career with the Financial Institutions Commission of British Columbia, the government regulator of Mortgage Brokers in British Columbia. For the past 10 years, Morgan has been a commercial mortgage broker and is the Managing Partner of Canadian Mortgage Strategies & Investments (Pacific) (“CMSI Pacific”), a Vancouver-based commercial mortgage brokerage, where he has been involved with structuring, underwriting, and placing more than $3,300,000,000 in commercial debt. In addition, Morgan is also a partner of 1100 West Capital Partners, a boutique commercial real estate investment company.

    He holds the Canadian Investment Manager designation (CIM) and has an Economics Degree from the University of Calgary. He is also currently registered as a sub-mortgage broker under the Mortgage Brokers Act of British Columbia and a Mortgage Associate under the Real Estate Act of Alberta.

  • Ben has been a Partner and Director of Tallinn Capital Partners Corp. since 2023.

    He has over 10 years of real estate experience in mortgage brokerage, equity investment and development. He is currently a Partner of Canadian Mortgage Strategies & Investments (Pacific) (“CMSI Pacific”), a full service commercial mortgage brokerage based out of Vancouver, BC and a leader in CMHC insured rental apartment construction finance. In addition, he is a Partner at 1100 West Capital Partners, a boutique commercial real estate investment company.

    Over his career, Ben has also been an active investor and has participated in capital raises through various sectors. In addition, he has held multiple directorships with publicly traded issuers through the past 15 years.

    He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography (Urban) with a minor in Commerce from the University of British Columbia. He is also currently registered as a sub-mortgage broker under the Mortgage Brokers Act of British Columbia and a Mortgage Associate under the Real Estate Act of Alberta.

    Out of the office, Ben is busy raising his two young boys and spending time at their family cabin in the Gulf Islands.
